my goal is a "complete fast"....
today is day 19... i was doing the lemon/syrup/pepper fast but on day 15 or so, went to straight H2O fast due to healing crisis in my esophagus that caused severe pain when mixed with cheyenne pepper and lemon juice!
This is my first fast. I started to lose weight but as i read and researched on the web, i decided this should go to completion. I am going to fast until my appetite returns normally. I hear that it is a great feeling to feel. Almost no one in America has ever felt real hunger. I hear that it is like thirst. You know how you feel thirst in the mouth and on the tongue? Well, real hunger is felt the same way, not in the stomach and not a temporary feeling. When you feel what you think is hunger and then 15 minutes later you are fine? That is appetite and a food addicts withdrawal, nothing more.
I also hear that when you feel real hunger, your body does not fight you to start eating again. There is no nausea or diarrhea. Then, if you only eat live foods (fruits and vegetables, nuts and legumes.. at least raw to 75% of total of diet), eating a handful of grapes relieves the hunger. Then wait until you are hungary again.
This is my plan. I started one year ago when i quit smoking and all artificial sweeteners. My body went through a time of healing of sorts even though I was eating like cr@p!... but my fibromyalgia went away after 6 months.
I had also read that you should fast at least one day for every year old you are... that means i should be close to end at 42 days... :-)
Now, in this fast i have seen a lot of healing going on and i have my really bad days and some good ones. I hate the fact that I must work and to be honest, my mind and soul have not been into implementing software at customer's sites or re-writing the labs for our training courses for the new release. I work at home most, but i wish i could just be.... :-)
I have no idea how long this fast is for the original plan was to make it 10 days, and then 14 if i could. I am way past that now.
