Day 6, yet still more questions
Hello everybody,
The good news is I'm feeling better (although lethargic). Some things are puzzling me, though:
1) Last year I fasted for 9 days, and by today my eczema was almost gone. It's still bright red and angry, though better than it was at the start. Similarly, my gastrointestinal problems haven't faded as much as I'd hoped. However, I've lost a lot more weight this year (Day 6, 14 pounds!), which is a little alarming. It doesn't seem like I should have lost so much so quickly. How much is likely to be water weight? Is it possible my body is prioritizing getting rid of fat over fixing the relatively minor medical issues?
2) I still am curious about breaking my fast with juice. The last thread I posted didn't get any responses to those questions. Is it alright to break a 14-day fast with pieces of solid fruit, or should I do my best to stick to juice? If I stick to juice, is it acceptable to chew fruit and spit out the solids, or to alternate fresh and bottled juices depending on availability?
For my background, I am 28, 5'2, and started the fast at 210 pounds.
Thanks for your advice and information, everybody. I look forward to reading your responses.
