Hello! I grew up eating terrible foods (all extremely processed, lots of grease, sugar, chemicals, etc.) and when I started eating healthier (less processed foods, more fruits and veggies, limiting chemicals) I also started getting sick a lot. I think my body didn´t know how to process actual food. What made a huge difference was finding out I had developed food allergies . I cut those foods out and felt much better, but then developed new food allergies and started getting sick again. SO! This is what I am doing now and it has really helped my immune system, although I still detox occasionally as I slowly clean out my system:
-I vary my diet a lot (I eat seasonally and rotate my foods every four days - that means if you have a lettuce salad on Monday, wait until Friday to have lettuce again. Basically, I was just overloading my body with the same types of foods and my body was reacting badly)
-I try to eat 75% alkalizing foods and 25% acid foods (this keeps your blood ph at the right level and your body is much happier because of it!)
I am trying out some other things, but I´m not sure of the results yet so I won´t share those. I hope this information is somewhat helpful - everyone´s experiences are different - but be sure to keep in mind that it WILL get better and the work you are doing to make yourself healthier today WILL pay off in the future.
