Personally I'm a follower of Dr. Nara. I don't believe in "regularly" seeing a dentist. I think most of them are quacks. I also think the more you see dentists, the less teeth you will have in the end.
Dr. Nara discusses alkalinity and acidity of the saliva as being the culprit for many dental problems. Your saliva is key. It's the healing element in your mouth. Lack of saliva will bring on a host of problems.
If you believe this theory, then the best thing to do is seek an alkaline system by not eating sugars. I have a small brown spot on my teeth. During Christmas when I was eating tons of Sugar and carbs, even while OPing, that spot got browner and browner. Finally when I started my healthy habits again, and changed my oil, the spot pretty much disappeared in less than 2 weeks.
I've been OPing for over 3 years now, and I haven't had any problems at all. But when I am unhealthy, and dehydrated (no saliva) some old enamel sensitivities rear up.
When I was "regularly" seeing dentists I had tons of problems, tons of pain and my pocketbook was a lot lighter too. A myth perpetuated by the ADA.
Remember gang, they are the ones that said that you CANNOT reverse gum disease. BS!! We've seen tons and tons of testimonials about people facing gum surgery, and after OPing for a short amount of time, they do not need surgery anymore.
With all due respect to StratRebel, I have seen you post on here many times suggesting dentists, and dental treatments, and other things we try to avoid by practicing NATURAL METHODS.
This is not an allopathic website. I believe you are in the dental field, are you not? I've also seen you telling people that root canals are good things. It seems your are giving advice, and at the same time mocking what we are all about here....educating NOT medicating, and this means a host of surgical, pharmaceutical and yes, even dental procedures.
I would ask that you stop advocating this on the OP forum, please. If someone wants allopathic advice, there are a ton of forums on Yahoo for that.
PS, if I am off base here, I'll be the first to admit it. What exactly is your background, and your credentials for posting on a Alternative Health Forum. Thank you.
