My tongue wasn't coated until about a week. It isn't something to look forward to. In the morning it tastes like vomit, and when you drink water it flavors the water with a fermented taste.

I'm on Day 14 and my tongue has been clearing up in degrees. It is like the coating is shrinking in toward the middle. It gives me a sort of timeline to see how much longer I will be fasting.
