Re: Type II Diabetes treatment---what do you think of this approach?

Taking-identify with medical “approach point“…as I’ve faced/face your issue… Stress-free ..I have to get a new doctor about every three/four years. I have (when going to the doc) any meds. (daily testing supplies always) in hand and ask for 90 day order with 3 renewals..(for a year) and tell them that I can order it with my insurance and save money..(as I can) if they can help by writing the 90 day prescription that way. With this I’m out and about other than usually a follow appointment in 30 days for the lab work results or a call telling me to come in to talk with the doc and I get copies of the lab work and tell him I need to try very hard with my diet as my Dad has done well with success with diet alone. And if any other appointments I’ll call and cancel and (if asked) tell them I’ll be out of town and call them later. Or in my case I’m in FL six months and VA six months so I plan my visit about a month before I’m going to leave (not so right now with my Mom’s health issues and it’s now an issue with me right now-need prescription for insurance to pay for testing supplies). Last year the doc gave a detailed report to give to a doc here in va and that was now a year ago..so I will, more than likely, not return to that doc and will find a new one. That is how I work it FYI not suggesting anything as to your personal actions BTW.

You may be Startled why my response a few day ago talked about passing away. I feel we all need to look at reality and put life in perspective as to what will happen and a large number here on cuze zone have health issues, as we do, and why we need or in my case why I look to see what’s basic information that anyone, with un normal health issues, can perhaps add relief and extend the positive force that completes some response toward moving from bad to good (or closer) good positive health facts. Health facts that will help to serve to the positive face of life. I do not believe that a person with diabetes can remove diabetes as a health issue ( especially-- as we have talked before --with no gallbladder) and that it will be a fact of ALWAYS working to keep moderately healthier…finding healthier assessment tools for control/ management of DIABETES.

IMO NOW a bit of reflextion from research as to a Considerable FACTOR and how we balance/critic what we examine as to health and reality …as there is so much..the claims of health improvement with this or that (however I believe we all need the “basics“..good simple food, water, fats, air, exercise, and avoidance of pollutions and high processed products to build better health):??? …

? Why do some people maintain good health without supplements?

If one does research “see the sights, highlights” of people living to a ripe old age in reasonable health without the help of any supplements, one finds that they had a lot of odds in their favor. It usually starts with excellent genes, followed by a lack of factors that tend to upset the biochemical balance necessary to maintain good health. Anything upsetting that balance will either shorten someone's life, worsen its quality, or require compensation through extra nutritional support or drug intervention. A centenarian who never touched a supplement in his life has likely maintained such a balance as a result of little "pro-oxidant" activity, which necessitated little "antioxidant" activity -- just to mention one example. Why?? Perhaps your Dad & mine (in his eighties also) (with no gallbladder also) can control better their diabetes numbers with their diets than you or I can. Maybe something for us to concede …”genes” from their parents… our grandparents.

On the other hand, let's assume a very healthy individual with similar longevity odds in his/her favor ends up with a serious injury early in life (as I have had --life-threatening auto accident). The imbalance introduced to his/her previously sound chemistry by busted bones, drug treatments or organ damage, so forth.. will have him/her for the rest of their life search for compensatory factors to
improve the quality of life. Unlike before an injury, he/she is now in the same situation as those born less fortunate health-wise, and may now have to become more reliant on better nutrition and/or additional supplementation. So the reason for supplementation, and the amounts needed change with individual
circumstances.

Even without previous injury, there are enough genetic variations or environmentally introduced factors (environmental factors are off the chart right now-air-water-foods-meds-work place..go over to the Iodine forum and see some of the posts the last few days about environmental factors) that are responsible for some people to benefit from ingesting several health foodstuff or certain supplements given the cause of shortness, damage in your/our personal case/body.

The reason I’ll list this site below is somewhat on a personal note…I believe fats are not to be left out of our daily diets. Why …my Mom has always been health directed but because of the low fat craze I’m wondering if it may have added a great “figuring piece” as to why she has dementia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s. So given this as personal to my life, family history, dementia, I’m looking, just as one health line of reasoning, using good fats/oils daily. Also, it may- low fat craze- be a reason why I had to have my gallbladder remove- due to sluggish movement of liver/gallbladder/bile because of the low fat craze...

WITHOUT or With your current “vegetarian” heavily daily eating… Conceivably for you ( & your very capable judgment)…I’ll add another …perhaps a new factor.. sites..you may want/could organize a different advantage with your health and research, www. westonaprice.org,
I’ve read everything on this site…and think it is (one of several tools to work with) a simple health food to eat fact for health in the long approach --especially-- as we get older…that is …FATS…like Mary Enig’s findings… have fun “amongst life‘s search for the whole story”… for yourself, family, and doc’s devices, LHunt
