Re: Fruit cleanse first- prefast
Hello Roadrunner,
if being a fruitarian works for you that is fine, I just wanted to make sure you were aware that it doesn't always work for everyone.
My post was not meant to be an admonishment of you or this way of eating either.
Yes, it is important not to overeat, and where fasting does indeed re-educate the body into accepting less food, so long as it is of a highly nutritious nature, and where low calorie diets and Intermittent Fasting have been shown to increase longevity.
One meal per day used to be the norm' apparently for centuries in many parts of the World, before we were informed that we should eat three meals per day, and where the former does save digestive energy (known as the most taxing of any energy used by the body) and where I hope you have heard that proper food combining also is the least taxing on energy used for digestion. I also adhere to the one meal per day plan as well, although I occasionally eat two depending on my appetite, and where I rely on my own body-signals as to its wants and needs, which is probably the best guide whether eating or fasting.
It is very good news for you then that fasting has helped you win your battle against overeating and food addiction, and although you do not agree with eating meat or dairy, the original Hunzas fared very well with minimal amounts of these foods, and where I also include some organic white meat and some dairy in my own diet.
In chronological order of importance for survival and good health come air, then water and lastly food, so your logic concerning food is quite right, and where our relationship with it is paramount for achieving and maintaining wellness and good health.
