the meanings conveyed are broader and deeper with a classical education as well. if you think our leaders are not very carefully choosing their words and using all levels of meaning and interpretation, think about it some more. a classically trained person can communicate to the beboppinest inner city youth and be understood where the other way around would have a much higher failure rate.
