Re: Why so many calories?

Yes I do experience that often... there's days when I go on 500-800 cals and i feel amazing... but i always tend to binge late on those night on very carby food like pizza or peanut butter sandwiches, lol...

I wonder, if maybe what scientists tell us about our body isn't true... what if a "starvation diet" is actually the most healthy thing u can do for ur body?

There are many ascetics, hermits, monks, wizards, etc., that lived (and live) on very little food in the past, and almost as a rule, those people who eat very little tend to live longer than those who eat alot... I mean... if it weren't for bypass surgery and the modern medicine we have today, a lot more people would be dead than are currently.

There was a study, or studies, done on either rats or mice, where one group was fed normal amounts of food, and one group was overfed, and one group was fed low calories, what they call "caloric restriction." The group that was overfed got sick and diseased, the one that was fed normal lived normally, and the group that was fed less lived longer and healthier than both other groups.

It makes you wonder!
