Re: Root Canal - Front Tooth
I just had two front teeth removed. The two front teeth were originally injured when I was about 7, I am now 46. I had
root canals done and then eventually crowns. Over the years I have had several crown replacements. I never really thought about my teeth being a source of health issues until I started having trouble with a molar that had a
root canal and crown(this one had only been done about 2 years). I decided to find a holistic dentist and he advised me to start researching infected root canals, health problems from
root canals and to come to my own conclusion regarding a course of action. During this research I also read about
Amalgams and how the mercury can cause health issues. I decided to have the mercury removed and to have all
root canal teeth removed.
Why did I decide this? Because I lost almost 80% of the hair on my head, I have
Rheumatoid Arthritis , I have a very sick Thyroid, constant sinus issues,
food allergies and I feel that I am always fighting a low grade infection.
I have a very nice temporary bridgea(for my front teeth) to wear while the bone and gums heal. It looks like my teeth before extraction-so I am not walking around without front teeth. I am planning on getting a permanent bridge for the molars I had removed as well. I decided against implants because I don't want the metal in my body. Another reason I decided on a bridge for the molars is to prevent drifting of lower teeth and to help with chewing.
I was very concerned about pulling out my front teeth...for obvious reasons but once I saw the roots I knew I did the right thing. They were dark brown-obviously full of bacteria and there was a cyst in the root cavity. The dentist said he hasn't seen very many teeth look that bad and I believe him. I will post again about my health improvements. If anyone has questions I will be more than happy to answer them the best of my ability.
