The case of "Typhoid Mary" is, no doubt, One which has aroused a widespread public interest. I do not agree with Dr. Soper that at the present time there is no cure for this condition. Let Dr. Soper submit his patient to a treatment of colloidal iodine,a drug ten times more active than the ordinary Iodine and with bacteriacidal power about ten times stronger. I am certain that a treatment lasting six to eight weeks will be enough to completely sterilize Mary Mallon without injuring her in any way. Colloidal Iodine is absolutely non-toxic and non-caustic, it does not interfere with the digestive organs and causes no iodism. If she had this treatment, I for my part, would be glad to engage her as a cook, because good cooks are rare.
