Re: To ME, people are like potatoes

Kraut and potatoes is definitely an ethnic
dish but seems those that try it LOVE it.

When I was married, I fixed it for my
husband who had never in his life ever
eaten sauerkraut. It was a popular dish
and so we had it frequently.

I make my own kraut now and because it
is naturally fermented, my gut benefits
from eating it. I was raised on homemade
kraut also. I remember thinking that it
was gross because of the mold. My crocks
are more sophisticated than those my
mother used so mold is no longer an issue.

I used to think I would eat anything too.
I have learned though I will "taste" almost
anything but I have found more than a
few things hard to swallow. Escargot, yes,
shark....noooooo.

Definitely, I would never qualify for that
silly reality show, Fear Factor, either.

best wishes,
Zoe
