To ME, people are like potatoes

It's something I kinda thought about this morning. It just popped in there.

Like potato chips for example. Both people and potato chips can be quite salty, but they're hard on us, and they're not-at-all very warming. They don't treat us well at all, and yet they are addictive as hell. Unforfunately - when we are at our lowest - that is when they are at their worst: kicking us in the guts! However, we're so down ourselves that's when we crave them the most. "You can't eat just one". The very addictive nature of potato chips soon finds us eating out of the bag; we're feeding off of the pure evil-nature of the thing, (and if we're not careful), those potato chips are going to either kill us, or turn us into the very evil that surrounds us!

Raw potatoes are the best. Both people and raw potatoes can be quite good for us, but they're not always the thing we want...even though we should. They treat us the best, but who looks forward to sitting down and eating a raw potato?

I absolutely adore mashed potatoes. LOVE them, in fact! Hot-baked, right-out-of-the-oven-and-then-mashed potatoes may not be the best thing for me, (especially coated in butter), but they leave me with such a warm feeling of comfort. They are "bad" enough to be interesting, but not so bad that I must keep having more because they make me feel worse. I could have just ONE small serving of mashed potato every day and it will satisfy my "need" for comfort! Just the THOUGHT of mashed potatoes gives me such a rush of the "warm fuzzies" that I feel like I could never do wrong.

May you all be mashed potatoes.
