Re: Pau d'arco

Hi...
I beg to differ, to get the FULL benefit from Pau d'arco it must be prepared as a decoction...boiled for 25 mins...you should use high grade 100% inner bark only and make sure it is tabebuia avellanedae . It seems bitter at first as it is very strong and not a taste one is accustamed to but you do get used to it...I have been drinking it since 2001 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer that had already spread to my liver ...Eight years later I am Cancer Free...Roger deLong has excellent info on his site about the tea...

and there are some alternate methods of drinking the tea (recipes) posted at
http://www.herb-care.com
adding juice etc...personally I take it straight up but do find it better at room temperature.
Incidentally this tea is often consumed in health cafes in europe...it has numerous benefits other than its tumour shrinking properties ...including greatly reducing the number of colds and bugs being caught...if you do come down with something just up your intake and the duration is always reduced and the symptoms never as bad...

Still hanging in and enjoying life...passed my Oct checkup with flying colors...:-)
