Copper, Iron and Mercury
>> I assume this means IP6 is yet another answer to this equation?
Can't say for sure yet, certainly Mercury is part of the problem and Klinghardt forbids Zinc, which helps to mobilize Copper, until the Hg levels are down. Cutler has no such issue as long as taken with DMSA; the DMSA will bind to the zinc immediately and keep it until it finds a heavier molecule to swap it out with.
Adding Copper sounds like a good idea as long as it is matched with Zinc because most copper toxic are also copper deficient, however this does not seem to work as long as Hg is an issue and Cutler forbids it. Better to be copper deficient while chelating than copper toxic.
Cuprum met is an option but I won't know if that does anything for another week or so. IP6 certainly helps but not sure how much copper it actually takes out.
Carnosine seems to help; Cutler says that 80% of those that have tried it report positive results, foremost in brain function.
So far Mag Malate, Chanca Piedra and IP6 are the only thing I have used since they unblock the bile duct where most of the copper is supposed to be expelled by the Liver.
This did work until I began using ALA in larger amounts per Cutler, now there is far more copper toxicity and I am trying to find ways around having to take breaks from the Cutler protocol....
NOTE: Makes one wonder how Hg, Copper and Iron in the Liver effect Hepatic Stone production? This is all about oxidation and ion swapping into Rust and oxidized Copper and a depletion of Liver GSH. Perhaps a cause of blocked bile flow or a symptom of long term low bile flow…
