Re: A brief Descriiption of Body Chemistry BTI style:
There are various mistakes in your post, but the post is too long to address everything. I am too tired right now to do so. I do want to address a few of the key points though.
First of all there are viruses, and other pathogens, that thrive in an alkaline environment. There are also acids that are highly antiviral such as betulinic acid.
Taking alkalinizing substances like baking soda will wipe out stomach acid leading to problems such as inability to absorb minerals and some vitamins, and inability to digest proteins properly. It also leads to pathogen overgrowth in the stomach, especially yeast, and will allow other pathogens to enter the body through the digestive system. One of the primary roles of the stomach acid is to kill pathogens to prevent them from infecting us. Taking baking soda can also lead to other conditions like alkalosis, which can also cause a series of problems.
As far as cancerous tumors go, the whole cancer loves acid thing is also a myth. The acid is a byproduct of the cancer, not the cause. As you mentioned cancer cells produce energy through fermentation, which leads to the production of lactic acid in small amounts. This is addressed by the body through oxygen for removal, bicarbonates for neutralization, and glucogenesis resulting in its reformation in to glucose. And again, many acids are actually highly antitumor including betulinic acid, and some forms of lactic acid.
People frequently refer to Warburg, and often erroneously claim that cancer cannot survive in an oxygen environment. This is most often repeated by sales sites promoting oxygen products. This claim is false though, and they have misquoted Warburg. In short what Warburg said is that cancer cells will ferment REGARDLESS of whether oxygen is present or not. If increasing oxygen levels would kill cancer cells then hyperbaric oxygen could be used to cure cancer. This is not the case though.
You also recommended magnesium oxide. I highly disagree with this. Magnesium oxide when mixed with water forms caustic magnesium hydroxide. This will not only neutralize the stomach acid, but it also works as a laxative because it chemically burns the intestinal wall leading to an influx of water and increased peristalsis. In addition, chronically burning the intestinal wall leads to a greatly increased risk of intestinal cancer. We see this in people who have had their gallbladders removed, which leads to dumping of caustic bile in to the intestines. Again this leads to burning of the intestinal lining and a greatly increased risk of cancer.
