..your dry skin will respond within minutes if you cover yourself in a fine grade of extra-virgin Olive oil or Almond oil, (I leave it on for about half an hour), then wash it off.. Ghee (Clarified butter), BTW is also excellent for this-
IMHO that will be your fastest solution.
PS: pH balance being off does not necessarily cause this- My own pH is very steady around 6.75-7.0, and it still happens with me, when I'm travelling to cold places.
I would not ingest inorganic Calcium Hydroxide now either, although I have done so in the past, and although there are standard supermarket items that do list it as an ingredient.
IMO there are far, far better and safer ways to go for sources of Calcium, such as a combination of equal parts of Horsetail, Oatstraw, Comfrey Root and Lobelia (One of Dr. John R. Christopher's formulae).
