It's been a while

Hello everyone. It's been a while I know. I have missed the forum, and am really glad to be back on it.

So, I'm heading in to day two of my fast-to-completion. I'm already detoxing pretty heavily. Leg cramps, back ache, general fuzziness. It's my fault though, for not eating healthier. My body is extracting vengeance for not taking care of it I think:) That's ok, I don't mind.

I had been thinking about fasting for a few weeks, but started to think that I should wait until the new year (My favorite day of the year is thanksgiving dinner....... I mean Thanksgiving.) and that was sort of my plan. Well, I have been a little anxious lately, and couldn't eat much for a few days. So, I figured that if I couldn't eat anything, I might as well make the most of it.

Question: Has anyone else noticed a marked difference in their subsequent fast compared to the first one?

The biggest thing that I want to do right now, is to study the affects of fating on sleep. I wonder how the architecture changes when one is fasting. I myself feel like I am in a light sleep most of the night, and that I have alot of REM intrusion. I really want to find a doctor that would be interested in this. I think I am going to see if I can have one done at my lab, since I recently had one to check the equipment, there would already be a base study to go off of. If I can, I will gladly post my results. Perhaps I am so interested in it, because, as much as I wish for more hours in a day, being sleepless is no fun. No fun at all. If I could be up for 20 hours and lay down, and be out, that would great. But fasting has limitations. Ya, you get to stay up later, and your body wont punish you, but you can't really do a whole lot while your awake. And when you do lay down to go to sleep, your going to lie there for what seems like forever, then, your basically going to dream while your partially awake. It's MADNESS. Especially when you keep having horrifying dreams that you broke your fast eating some horrible food or another :) I can't remember, is the sleeplessness a form of toxemia, or part of the normal fast?

Again, I'm really glad to be back, and I suspect the longer into the fast I get, the more I will ramble - be warned. It's ok though, because I often go back and laugh at myself, and laughter is good for the soul. If you all laugh too, then I'll be doing you something good:) Take care, and I will post tomorrow, or at least the next day. Blessed be. It is good to be back.
