Re: Day 1 of Fast - Experiment
Hi Loosie,
well that sounds like a good plan to me.
I read very recently that a large proportion of the American population are in fact deficient in magnesium, which isn't surprising really considering the overuse of their topsoils in feeding the World over the years.
The RDA for magnesium is about 400mg to 500mg per day and being one of the macro minerals is vitally important, and where some say even more so than calcium.
If you take a specific mag' supplement then you will know if you are "overdosing" as this will have the same effect as too much Vitamin C..........diarrhea!!
I would use the Bowel tolerance test which I did at one time with Vitamin C and where the scaremongers would have me believe that anything over 500mg of Ascorbate would be harmful; but I had to take 10,000 mg before I experienced diarrhea: this meant that my body needed up to that amount for the max' benefit: it is exactly the same story with magnesium by using the bowel tolerance test. A bit like filling a glass jar with water, where you need the max' amount of fluids before it finally spillsover.
