Re: More parasites in the tropics?
True, technically they are 'fruits', but goji berries as they are sold are dried, and maybe that's not so bad, but they can't possibly have the nutrients, phytos, etc as they would be if they are fresh. Dried berries are concentrated sugars, and without their water content.
Cacao is up there in stimulants, even though 'natural'.
I'm not against those things, since I'm not a purist, but they can hardly compare with what grows from trees that can be directly eaten without processing. Yes Goji, or wolfberries, as they are called could be, but I've never seen them except packaged and dried, and extremely expensive to boot.
The point is not against those particular two items, as they beat potato chips and fried chicken, but rather that Wolfe is a salesman of many products and fads.
Different strokes for different folks. I was just pointing out that his 'thing' doesn't jibe with the 'Barefoot' way of things.
And he is part of the camp that frowns on lots of fruit. Not dried berries, or seeds of bromide, but oranges, peaches, apples, etc. There are all kinds of paths one can take in the current alternative diet/health environment. But there are points where there are conflicts, and not all roads are equal, each as good as the other.
Lots of different people seem to have their good arguments, but that also can lead to a lot of confusion also.
