Re: 'Smears' About Obama Largely True
I have no wish to defend Obama, just pointing out that the message comes from a site noted for their bias and that their message is shaded to fit their agenda and opinion. The same kind of biased message could have been circulated against McCain.
Just one example - the mention of the email from Capt Porter is a slanted version of what actually happened and a view that is not widely shared among the troops who were there during Obama's visit. See:

It also irks me to see so much publicity about Ayers and Obama's connections to him. So what? Ayers was a dissident against the evil ear in Vietnam whose bombings were considered heroic by many at the time. If I had been a couple of years younger and in a differect locale, I might have joined him. His bombs damaged only buildings, not people, and I condidered what he did no different than the original American 'terrorists" who dumped the tea off the boat in Boston.
Of course in retrospect one can see how his movement was abetted by the socialists/communists and that he continues to be a socialist. THAT would be the association that is dangerous to me, not the one that merely labels him as a terrorist.
But that is enough. I will not defend Obama because he is the teflon "New Messiah" that will surely lead us further down th road to socialism. Just as I will not defend McCain and his closet full of skeletons because he would continue leading us down the road to coporatism.
Either road leads to totalitarianism, as Trapper says, and the election is a charade between a left handed puppet and a right handed puppet whose strings lead to the same globalist puppet master.
