Re: Re-grow brains
Clinical doses for
Depression are on the order of 170 mg to about 300 mg or more.
When taking clinical doses, bloodwork is required to carefully monitor lithium levels, because if they get too high, irreversible kidney damage can result.
But clinical doses are not necessary for cerebral neurogenesis. IMO, a smaller amount taken over time, to more closely mimic what one would get in nature is better. The springs at Baden have a few ppm Li in them. South Texas springs also. There is a city in Georgia called Lithia Springs.
One can actually feel their brain growing. Of course, mercury from
Amalgams and other sources is what removes myelin, and for meaningful re-growth, the body needs to be mercury free.
Also, certain lipids are necessary, which come from particular oils, which is why I recommend reading "Know your fats" by Mary Enig. The body, instead of using particular lipids for neurogenesis, can also burn them for energy, which is a waste of good lipids. So one must know how to "fool" the body into not burning up the precious lipids as mere energy sources. You want them to be used as building blocks instead.
If one is mercury-free, and has adequate lithium, the necessary lipids and a high state of collagen, have good halogen content, mental function can become supercharged to the point that the mind works better than it does in a "typical" 20 year old.
Lithium is an
Iodine antagonist, what many would consider as a goitrogen, but, as I've iterated, that word is nonsensical. The converse is also true. The body is in a constant state of dynamic antagonism on many fronts.
Having adequate Li has been proven to be protective of brain cells in the even of stroke, reducing cell death.
It also protects neurons from damage from alcohol.
This is more important than iodine.
But as with iodine, requires knowledge, skill and a mercury-free body for optimal results.
