Re: surgery to get mirena out

HI- I'm still home today recovering from my surgery to get my Mirena out. Had it yesterday morning, finally (I wanted to do this MONTHS ago). But I have to say- don't worry, you'll be so relieved when it's gone. I feel better already. I've had tons of side effects, - back pain, stabbing pains in my side, horrible PMS, numbing, you name it.
I was put in a "twilight" state (not fully knocked out), I don't remember a thing, and I had to wear a pad yesterday. i've had very little cramping. They gave me Vicodin pain killers, but i've only taken one. Good luck & just think of how you'll fell after it's done! The official procedure is a hysteroscopy.
