Re: Chronic iodine usage
I'm definitely with you on this one.
I've cut my
Iodine dosage down to 150mg per day, 50mg three times. I feel quite good even at this lower dosage, and haven't missed any of the benefits I was getting at the higher dosages.
I have a thorough regimen now though.
I take:
300mcg of chromium per day. 100mcg 3 times in the day (and this is a whole food source, none of that picolinate/polynyoctinate junk)
800mg of Magnesium Malate (400mg in the morning and 400 at night)
Many grams of pure ascorbic acid 3 times per day. (I don't count the grams I just take as much as my tastebuds tell me to)
800-1200 IU of Mixed tocopherol and tocotrienol Vitamin E spread out during the day
Zinc Methionine complex
6,000 IU of Vitamin D sublingually
A full Vitamin B sublingual complex (and also some extra B12)
I also take a vitamin a two time per week for good measure.
I also have a fluoride shower filter that filters EVERYTHING. I also double distill my water with a countertop distiller.
A little more on the Vitamin C to taste thing.
I have noticed with natural food and with substance the body requires on a daily basis your tastebuds are a very good indicator as to when to stop.
When I take too much vitamin C my tastebuds tell me, and the ascorbic acid begins to taste awful. However, when I'm more stressed than usual and need more vitamin C, I'll mix 10 grams of it in water and it will taste AMAZING to my tongue.
I know this isn't true with everything.
Iodine tastes bad no matter what.
Try this with the vitamin C though. Your tongue will tell you how much to take.
