Re: surgery to get mirena out

I am in the same situation. Have an appointment on the 13th of October for a surgical consult. I have not had an ultrasound, they did try to get it out at the office with 3 different instruments, but with no local anesthesia. I bled for 3 days pretty good, and now it is off and on. Cramps have finally gone away. It just worries me after reading alot of the posts on here because I went in to have it removed because my husband and I want to have a baby and it concerns me if there is any uterine damage that it may not be possible. I also would like to hear what advice anybody could offer.
