Re: Confusion and anxiety on inappropriate touching

I agree 100% with the person who responded before...don't worry about what others have gone through, or levels of bad, worse, etc. This has made you feel uncomfortable, and in talking about it, brought about a flood of emotions, thoughts, memories, and fragmented images. Some may be accurate, some may be distorted through the years, but regardless, you are troubled. So definitely, get into counseling, explore what is going on. Possibly your dad is just a guy who was inappropriate and insensitive, and the discussion you had w/ your brother brought up the discomfort or pain that may be caused by someone else...a teacher, uncle, minister, someone with power and a position of trust, and your dad is one who is safer to be mad at; because of his inapproriate touching, lack of understanding, and just being thick headed.. I hope this makes some sense...Just dont jump to conclusions, don't go through this on your own, and be really careful that who you do talk to doesn't try to lead you to a conclusion. You don't want to be led into false memories. That is a horrible pain to go through, and the damage to all involved is horrendous....so get with a counselor..and take it slow...
hang in there....
