check out the pics i posted a while back in the Image Gallery . (i don't have anything recent.) i do exfoliate the top layers of my skin when they turn white, flaky & dry. (that hasn't happened in the last 1.5 weeks, though. but we'll see! it may come back, which will depress me.) i don't like to leave the skin there building up into a thick crust. although, there were many days when, as the day wore on, my skin would lose all elasticity, crack, peel & feel super crusty. but anyhoo, i regularly and Gently exfoliate the peeling skin at night when i wash my face. (i don't always do this, especially when my lips start bleeding.)
try this regimen, below. it might help manage your EC:
> use Avalon Vitamin C facial cleanser (i've been using it for 2 months. it's got alantoin to help repair skin, used for scars -- really great stuff!)
> for a lip balm, use EcoLips Beefree lip balm. beware of those waxy stuff with SPF. (i'm allergic to sunblock, lanolin, dyes, fragrances & flavorings. flavored or medicated chapstick makes my lips worse!) i sparingly use this over my Impruv moisturizer.
> sauna once/week. drink lots of water during the day.
> use a humidifier at night (you can add lavender oil in it for added ooomph!)
> take a fish oil pill (omega 3) & B-vitamins pill at night, before bedtime.
> yoga, or some form of meditation -- managing stress levels Really helps!
> healthy diet, lots of rest/sleep, fresh air, exercise -- just to boost your overall health!
btw: i use only the gentlest products on my skin. you might want to try that.
