So how do you propose to pay for schools and roads? What about welfare? Housing assistance? medical care?(don't start on that one, please. There are good things in western medicine)

And sorry, but if you want "stuff", you've got to play by the rules. And yes, there's lots of ways to play.

The one person that I know that gets by without paying taxes does so by his wife's good graces. He can have nothing in his name. He has his own business, but he can't deposit a check, has to run to the bank to get checks cashed.

He's had to go to court several times on this, don't know the details, but they're finally leaving him alone.

He went sour on this country after serving in Vietnam.

Seriously, how does one get by? Stuff money under a mattress?

I disagree heartily with the way most of my tax dollars are spent, but I absolutely think that we have a responsibility, as citizens, to care for the infrastructure of this country, to provide money for the education of our children and sustenance for the poor.
