Re: fasting method

I have just read almost all the books recommended in this forum. I mean, I have been devouring them. It takes time, but I developed this pasion to know what is really going on behind the water mania. These books offer other references or good bibliography. They are many to mention. You can also google biological terms that explain the use of water by the body and how it regulates body temperature and other bodily functions. In other words, just studyng plain physiology is useful to reach this conclusion.

Now, as mouse says, the body knows it all. I believe that thirst have a purpose and this is to let us know when we really need water. Remember that many people are thin and drink lots of water that they do not retain. On the other hand, many obese persons drink just a little water and show symptoms of water retention. So, it is not exactly the amount of ingested water the one responsible for our swollen or dehydrated conditions. Hormones and internal workings of the body have a saying in the matter. We can find deep explanation of these things in good plain Biology books.

Also keep in mind that digestion and assimilation of food makes us very thirsty. Digestion uses a lot of water. Hence, when fasting, we do not need the same amount of water. Just common sense.

It is always better to trust our bodies. Orthodox medicine creates that propaganda to always "push" water (fluorinated water), the same water they say is not so abundant in our present world. The message is we are to be in panic not to have enough of that precious liquid contaminated by so many chemicals (fluor is not the only contaminant in tap water). But the medical profesionals do not talk about the dangers of the cancer producing agents in the water. Why not? Food for though. In the meantime, I refuse to be in panic for not ingesting the tap water in my city, as they publicly say, a good source of hospitals garbage (drugs)

I repeat, better to trust our bodies.
