i grow citrus trees here and make a complete glutton of myself during pink grapefruit season. i have a large juice each morning before my walk on the beach and believed i was doing a good thing according to various sources.
but i have read in a few places lately that it is to be avoided if you have gallstones. what to believe? all i can add is that several months drinking it made absolutely no positive difference in the level of gb pain at all. in fact it has gotten worse although this could be due to any of multiple other variables.
i have added one new thing to my diet that has had a very pronounced effect, thats beet salad with acv and lemon juice. since eating it i have not had the pain i unfailingly get every time i eat. i can only put it down to the beets.
