it might help....its basically fragile skin, its not really attached because if it was attached it would be strong and ALIVE, but its dead/semi dead.

Im guessing that the stratum corneum is supposed to be attached to the epidermis, but ours is obviously only attached for a short while....I think that a strong stratum corneum will be waterproof and contain blood cells.
