we are basically the inflammatory phase or we aren't in any phase... we need to stimulate the proliferative phase.

"Fibroblasts migrate from the skin into the wound and lay down the extracellular matrix which is the substance in which more specialised structures such as collagen are embedded. The fibroblasts lay down 4 to 5 days after the injury. For this to occur the environment has to be well oxygenated and with a good supply of essential nutrients."

it mentions the extracellular matrix.. the same stuff that regrew that mans finger... it says the environment for this to happens is it has to have oxygen.

I know blood carries oxygen. So it stimulates this phase.. and our lips aren't bloody when we peel.. i'll look around for stuff that may help
