Re: Chris-Question about Hereward Carrington
LivingBlessed,
yes thank you for that resource, but most of my library came from the Natural Hygiene Press: the publication arm of The American Natural Hygiene Society, and also Health Research formerly of Mokelumne Hills California.........

Their resources today though are not as good as they were in the 70's, 80's & 90's.
Some of Sheltons books can still be obtained thru Amazon.........

Hereward Carrington was a contemporary of Sheltons and where
Shelton quoted him in his works: especially The Hygienic System Vol III on Fasting & Sunbathing: his monumental work on the subject. However, Carringtons most prolific & monumental work on the subject is..............
"Vitality, Fasting and Nutrition: A Physiological Study of the Curative Power of Fasting, Together with a New Theory of the Relation of Food to Human Vitality"
For the most part Carrington and
Shelton agreed but there were areas of disagreement on certain aspects of the fasting process and how to conduct one, not least what
Shelton referred to as "Forcing measures" which Shelton vehemently disagreed with and so do I.
The book you have purchased by Carrington is excellent "Fasting For Health and Long Life" and which is an addition to my library as indeed they both are.
Carrington did write other books on the subject of health and fasting but for the most part were just precis of his works quoted earlier. Carrington was also preoccupied with death and the after life as noted by his book "Death deferred" and other works on psychic phenomena which far outweighed his work on health and fasting.
Thank you again for the link, I hadn't come across it before now.
Regards
