Hi Chiron,
I think Doctors do tend to allow for a slightly elevated BP from the norm' at the surgery because of stress, but a really accurate measurement is really only when resting, and they know that of course. Doctors are also heavily influenced by their drug masters to prescribe this or that pill for any condition you care to name.

Enlarged veins in the hands are a sign of aging and where the elasticity of the skin has become less so, but skin is entirely dependent on Vitamin C for this elasticity along with other nutrients.

The fast will have a rejuvenating effect on the skin of the entire body, both internally and externally, and so will only have beneficial effects, but this can be extended post-fast indefinitely by optimum nutrition, especially with the essential skin nutrients such as Ascorbate.
