Re: Baby with eczema. Help!

My 4 yr old son has had eczema and going outside makes it worse. He had it everywhere, ears, face, knees elbows. We really try to keep the skin moisturized as possible and not let him wear tight clothes. His clothes are 100 % cotton only, staying out of the heat. I found something that has cleared my son's ezcema pretty good, he only has occasional itching and rash and all that scratching is pretty much gone. A friend had tried it on her little one and recommended it. So why not try it? He is only bathed every other day to cut down on drying out the skin. We are using a cleansing gel and lotion on it and it's really helped. Right now he is doing so good just with those. The dermatologist rolled his eyes when I told him the lotion and cleansing gel were clearing the rashes. Very narrow thinking on his part. I don't think it's curable but if you find the right thing it can be controlled so to speak. I don't want to be using steroids so I looked for something natural. Recently, I started writing about our experience with eczema on a blog just for that, take a look if you like - using other things to help his eczema, with some pictures and the things that have helped. Everyone is different and it may not work for everyone but it's working for drew.
