Take pure ascorbic acid powder to bowel tolerance.
I take roughly 20 grams per day. Several grams every 4-5 hours or so.
Don't worry about taking it too close to the
Iodine dose. I've seen nothing but benefit from taking them both at the same time.
Edit: I didn't see the line that said it gave you cramps.
Try buffered ascorbic acid. It should take the sting off your stomach.
Personally I used to get stomach cramps from taking "too much" vitamin C, but now I don't get that. I think you get a similar response to taking high C doses as you do with Iodine. Something happens where your body gets worse before it gets better.
I used to get diarrhea with just a few grams of C, but now with 20 grams I get nothing but benefit.
I always keep pure ascorbic acid powder with me in case a stressful time hits. I work in retail so you never know when you'll get a huge rush of angry people. When this happens I just take some extra vitamin C in the moment and the "stress" doesn't phase me like I used to.
In fact, I used to have a real issue with confrontation, and I guess I still do a little bit, but my fight or flight response would kick into overdrive anytime a confrontation would come up and so I couldn't think very well and couldn't speak at all to the point where I would shake.
With the right combo of C and
Iodine this doesn't happen anymore at all.
