You might want to explore whether you can access a tanning salon - not to tan per se, but for mini blasts of ultra violet light...5 minutes should do it....or take a walk at lunch just to get your head exposed to the light outside for 1/2 hour a couple of times a week...
Often cravings may be a body pushing one to get what the body needs.
A few years ago I craved ice cream every night - NEEDED IT - and I beat up on myself when I broke down and ate ice cream often...it made no sense to me and I couldn't explain it. Family and friends snickered when I told them. Until one night when I sat down and thought to myself, "since I've never had this bizarre fixation before and since I'm not pregnant, what else other than a bizarre ice cream fixation could be causing it?"
So instead of ice cream, I drank a small glass of milk to see if I simply needed a dairy product - the craving went away after 10-15 minutes. Next day I had a small glass of milk earlier in the day and that evening I had no ice cream craving...
Now whenever I have a craving, I try to think through what it could really be before giving in. Sometimes I just need to eat something, but more often than not, I need to drink some water or have a healthier alternative to give my body whatever nutrient it needs more of...
