Something you may try when the emotional things pop up during a fast is to just look at whatever it is for what it is and usually it should diminish.
In other words just look at it for what it is without any analyzing.
This amounts to a form of duplication.
When you have looked at and seen it for what it is, then there is duplication. Its there and you have seen it.
When you have duplicated it, it should basically go away and be gone, at least to some degree.
Have you tried the walking and looking at the environment routine?
That is very powerful and its benefits can't be known until it has been tried.
I would highly recommend doing that daily even when not fasting.
I usually do this myself.
