Try concentrating on avoiding foods that contribute to inflammation, Sugar and high fructose cornsyrup are two of the worst foods you can consume. Eat brightly colored fruits and veggies, you don't have to do anything weird or nasty tasting. Get yourself some Turmeric and Ginger capsules, they sell both at most Walmarts in the supplement section. Avoid most if not all bread, that is a difficult challenge, at least for me, but yesterday I had a Philly sandwich and today I am in terrible pain. I know better, but I am far from perfect. While you are changing your diet, look for healthy foods you already like. Avoid things like carbonated drinks, juice, tea and fruit drinks containing high fructose cornsyrup (that stuff ought to be banned). Do your best to make water your drink of choice. Small steps will help ease inflammation if that is a contributing factor to you hand and arm problems. I suspect there is a nerve problem, but it can stem from a number of different causes.
Good Luck, I know it is very hard to change lifelong habits and family eating methods. All of us must find the inner strength to overcome the simple things in day to day life that trip us up. But we musy overcome bad habits and unhealthy choices to fully regain our health. (I am preaching to myself as much as I am to you)
