After reading all these forums I believe I have textbook TMAU. The persistent changing odors from day to day. I mainly have a musty-fecal-rotten egg odor that can be extremely potent or just linger on through out the day. I thought it was from drinking lots of alcohol which IS one of the main triggers. However, I quit drinking 6 months ago and the problem is still present. My liver enzymes are back to normal so it shouldn't be that. I have tried just about everything everybody has written about in the forums with no success. Recently I tried something new that I've never tried before. Every other day before I go to bed I give myself an enema to release toxins out of my body. After 2 days of doing this every single odor problem I've had has disappeared. Has anyone else done this and had the results I've had? Am I just washing all the potent smelling toxins out of my system so it doesn't have an chance to exscape? Also, what about long term enema use? Am I washing all my nutrients out as well? Secondly, for backup I bought some champex to neutralize the odor and have been taking 500 mg. twice a day for a week and a half now. Should I know if it's working if I pass gas and it doesn't smell since my main odor has disapperared? I'm just wondering because I'm starting a very physical job in a couple of weeks and not sure if I should be convinced or not that I'm preventing the odor from coming back. Any suggestions? Thanks, Wesley
