Why would Silverstein know dmeolitions (sp) jargon anyway?
You ask a question like that and claim to be a law student? Good grief!
Silverstein has been in the real estate and construction business in downtown New York City, and particularly Manhattan, since at least 1957. As anyone who stops to think surely knows, there is nary a square foot of undeveloped private land to be found in those areas. As a result, you HAVE TO DEMOLISH EXISTING BUILDINGS TO BUILD ANY NEW ONES!
Given that virtually every new building he has participated in over the past 50 years has involved the demolition of one or more other buildings, how could he NOT know demolition jargon?
