The problem is the use of "we" and "I". I can do nothing! God does it all! We are just vessels to be used by him. When we focus on ourselves we loose this view. Once again I think an honest study on the Sovereignty of God, and the law would benefit you. Read again of why God raised up Pharaoh in romans 9, heck just read Romans 9, Just read Romans. Also Martin Luther's commentary on Romans is phenomenal
