Yes, it is going to cost you a fortune unless you have doggy health insurance. You have not many choices: pay the out of pocket expenses (if no insurance), give the animal away to someone who can afford it or have it put down. If his teeth is rotting it will be an increasingly painful experience for the dog and it will eventually stop eating not to mention that bacteria in the gums can affect the brain in the long run because of its close proximity.
