Your comment: Yes my wife is ill and has been for a while. She was ill years before we got married. I'm not sure how many years. But God blessed me with her, and we have walked through this trial of her being sick together, and have grown closer to God and each other because of this trial. Sickness can often tear a marriage apart, but when the marriage grows deeper and stronger because of it, now that's a beautiful thing.

Answer: So, it would be safe to say your wife has been ill for a very long time?

Since you Claim to believe in God, do you also believe in what God has to say about "Seek the Truth and learn to apply it correctly and it shall set "US" Free !

Could it be that for some reason you and your wife are Lacking in some "Truth" as to "WHY" she has remained ill all these years?
