Re: --answer--Why a person gets Sick--
I'm not meaning to nit-pick Moreless. That statement just stuck me as bold and wrong and I wanted to address it.
Scientists are often not Christians, and the reason they will give is that God can't be proved scientifically. But God is above science. He created the natural principles that this universe runs on, but he himself is not controlled by these principles. God will do what he wants to do, and we are ultimately controlled by his will above any other natural principles of this world. I just think we need to remember that and remind each other of that, lest we get too caught up in the natural principles, which Satan is glad of, because then our attention is all on God's creation, and not God himself. We are to worship the Creator and not his creation. We can enjoy his creation, but if we worship it, we are in great error. I'm not saying you are doing that. I'm just trying to make my point that that is why that statement struck me so wrong. In your statement, it sounds like God is limited to his created order of things, and he is not in anyway, and I just wanted to clear that up.
Yes my wife is ill and has been for a while. She was ill years before we got married. I'm not sure how many years. But God blessed me with her, and we have walked through this trial of her being sick together, and have grown closer to God and each other because of this trial. Sickness can often tear a marriage apart, but when the marriage grows deeper and stronger because of it, now that's a beautiful thing.
