How to drink enough water
It is still true for most people that the greatest dietary deficiency is water. Our bodily functions "want" more water than we tend to give it.
It takes a real effort to drink enough water consistently.
I notice that of the people who do not get it done, there are some simple things that would help. Simple things that make all the difference, as is so often the case in life.
First, get a drinking galss that holds at least 8 oz, or even better 12oz. [times 30 for mls]. Actually meassure it and know how many to drink to get to target.
Target? - figure it out yourself, but its between 40 and 100
oz depending on your weight and sex and whatever. DAILY!
They say 'take it in sips', NOT!!- that won't do. Not at all. There is no way anyone is going to sip 100 times a day...
If you find that "chugging" a glass makes you queesy , well too bad! If you really pay attention,that queesy feeling never lasts for more than 5 to 15 mins., right? And thats nothing, it may be just right, a time to pause during your day... The alternative of not getting enough will make you "unwell" all day.
"Get one down when you fill up"... when you fill the glass from the filtered bottle-jug, immediately drink it! - and then fill it again for later, or for sipping. That really kick starts the process of getting to the target.
Also, within the first half-hour in the morning, take two full glasses. It will help your bowels move too, nicely, not spastic or anything, just right. It really does. You can handle it.
Thats two, and three with the fill-idea, and five to go. Be sure to find time to chug a couple more before noon. Thats only three left to go of your target is 8. Have two in the evening.
if your belly really does protest badly, or if you have painfull teeth like I did for a long time, you cannot chug it, I know that is true. Try a straw maybe?
DRINK IT WARM. Room temp is good...
Add a drop of lemon juice - it works wonders for those who gag on water.
It is really really important to give your kidneys a break with more water. They work better and easier with more water, it is not like they have to do more when you drink more, it is the opposite effect.
And if you are afraid of peeing too much, well thats not true either!! You will pee "bigger", but not more often. You have to pee most often when there is too little water and it gets concentrated and the kidneys want to expell it, thats what is behind most "spastic pee'rs".
If you want to rid yourself of "spastic peeing", try some herbs for the kidneys:
Watermelon seen, anise seed, parsley seed all mixed together in a brew, takne with 80

There is a potential to have to much of anything. Figure out what your body tolerates, as a maximum, and go with that amount. once a week, take two extra glasses, like on Saturday when you exersize more. pee pee pee.
