Most puzzling

A question is presented and one assumes that the responses elicited are to be literal, honest and factual.   What can not be immediately detected, is that there are already appropriate, politically correct answers that are expected, and should anyone attempt to respond with the obvious and not with the "acceptable", then the contribution becomes fodder for the PC crowd.  Why didn't I see that?
