Kombucha Scoby for pets: anyone have experience?

i've heard the SCOBY dried makes a very good 'chew'... and pets do well on the 'tea', i read...

I have no pets right now, but have been thinking of how the furfolk might benefit from the stuff I keep producing--i just know it's too good to waste. i asked this before, but the post slipped into oblivion.

Does anyone have experience with using the "mushroom" in this way?
