Re: abbis r u there -- But I need help from PTree

Hi Abbasi,

I read your post and had a bit of a hard time understanding how long you were passing the gray-black-green rubbery material while taking the higher doses of psyllium. If you passed a substantial quantity of this material, it is possible that you cleared it all out at that time. Some people require 3-5 psyllium and Bentonite shakes per day before they begin seeing mucoid plaque. If I understand correctly, you are only taking two shakes a day...this could be another reason why you are not passing anything out of the ordinary. Also, some people take several weeks of cleansing before they start seeing results. Frankly, I can't say for sure if you have previously cleared out all this material or if you need to increase the number of shakes you take per day and continue with the cleanse.

There would be no harm in continuing the cleanse...although I am concerned with the amount of fiber you are taking on a daily basis...especially if it is powdered psyllium. The shake recipe is 1 Tablespoon of liquid Bentonite + 1 teaspoon of powdered psyllium (or 1 Tablespoon of whole husk psyllium) in 8-10 oz. of water followed by another 8-10 oz. of plain water. Even if the total daily amount of fiber you take is the is better to take it in smaller doses divided in more shakes.

You may also want to take a look at your diet to see if you are reacting to any food groups...particularly allergenic foods such as dairy, wheat, sugars, etc. This may be contributing to your ulcerative colitis.

If you have any further questions, please post them in the most recent Bowel Cleanse Forum which is the active forum. The archived forums generally do not receive as much traffic and chances are greater that I will miss your post in an archived forum.
