All your advice is wonderful. I did learn (the hard way) not to force my son to eat one particular item. I told him that if he doesn't eat one meal he still gets the next meal but without the rice or bread that he loves. I didn't tell them they would be whole wheat : ) I guess my kids aren't as bad as I made them seem. They are never given soda or juice unless they are at someone elses house. All of them love vegies. The main thing they have to give up is Sugar and some white bread.
Thanks again. I am going to print your suggestions in case times get tough. Today they had whole wheat bread with natural peanut butter and wheat gern with half an apple, and I only got one complaint, but she ate it anyway : )
